Ok, first of all this is not a Savage. In fact its not even a Suzuki. But, you guys seem to know alot about bikes so here it goes. First of all, its a 92 Kawasaki Vulcan 500.

Ok. It runs really good most of the time. But once in a while it acts like its running out of gas. This last only maybe a half a block. If I back off the throttle for a minute or come to a stop then proceed it seems to run fine. I had the plugs changed and the valves adjusted. As I said it runs really good except for this. This problem also seems to occur mostly when the bike is warm or riding in hot weather which we've had alot of here in California. I just bought this bike and the shop tells me it didn't sit but two weeks at the shop before I bought it. Of course nobody knows how long it sat before the previous owner traded it in. I thought that I had some water in the tank and got some stuff that was suppose to get rid of it but it still does it. I am going to take it high into the mountains this Monday and don't want to get stranded. A couple of motorcycle mechanics told me at the shop that it was nothing to serious and they thought I would be ok on my trip. They said probably just needed to be ridden. I am off to get some carb cleaner for the gas tank and hope this does it some good. What do you all think? Sorry to be so long just kinda worried and want this problem to stop.
Thanks... Jeff
